1. Testing tools

The most commonly used IP detection tools are Ipapi, Ip2location, whoer.net, and Ipinfo. These four are also the ones I use most often. When you open these tools, your IP address will be automatically parsed, and some noun coefficients will appear. So we first need to understand them.

Without further ado, let's take Kookeey, my most commonly used IP proxy provider, as an example. We get an IP for testing:

1. whoer.net

This tool is based on the browser to obtain the corresponding information, so the most basic GPS positioning, signal base stations, mobile phone operators, and deeper hardware information are not reflected in whoer.net. It is mainly used for DNS detection and anonymity detection. Its popularity is related to the development of TK.

IP address: Displays the current Internet access IP address, and can check whether the proxy is effective;

ISP: Simply put, it refers to domestic operators such as China Unicom, China Mobile, and China Telecom;

Host host name: The host name is the name of the server;

OS operating system: This is the system of your phone or computer;

Browser: The browser you use to open it will be displayed.

DNS: The computer first addresses the DNS server, and then addresses the site itself. The same domain name is assigned different IPs in the DNS of different places. If the DNS in the area where the IP is located is unstable or busy and cannot process the request immediately, it will be automatically resolved to the best DNS node nearby;

Proxy server: refers to whether a proxy server is used to access the Internet;

Anonymizer: It can hide the IP address without saving IP connection data;

Blacklist: It means that the proxy IP is blacklisted in the database of this detection website, such as sending spam or illegal IP.

2. Ipinfo

The main business is IP geolocation query API and IP proxy monitoring.

ASN: Autonomous System, which implements IP to ASN mapping and ASN lookup;

Company: The company or organization that owns the IP address, usually classified as ISP, enterprise or hosting;

private: detects various methods used to mask the user's real IP address;

vpn: virtual network; proxy: proxy; tor: Tor (a type of proxy); relay: relay use; service: service

Abuse: Contact information of the abusive IP address to help research and track down abusers or misappropriators.

The above are the parsing terms that appear in almost all proxy detection tools. The four tools mentioned above basically detect these information. According to my test, the IPs of Kookeey pure proxy are basically stable and high-quality.

3. IP type determination

Native IP: It means that the DNS and IP address are from the same country, which can basically be considered native. However, there are special cases, such as some countries in Southeast Asia and Europe, where the DNS will be resolved to nearby countries.

Dual ISP: The commonly mentioned dual ISP refers to the type attributes of ASN and Company found in the query. Some so-called residential IPs have an ASN that belongs to the operator, so they are ISPs, but the company is not. This is a single ISP, and the real residential IP, whether it is ASN or the operating company, should be a local operator. For example, the IP of kookeey that I detected is a dual ISP. In theory, such an IP is more stable.
