In this article, we will introduce in detail several different types of proxies: ISP proxy/dual ISP proxy/data center proxy, understand their differences, and choose the proxy type that suits you better.
Before talking about these types of agents, let’s review the major categories of agents.
1. Computer room agent and non-computer room agent
In the general sense of proxy IP selection, we will broadly divide them into: computer room proxies and non-computer room proxies.
The computer room proxy refers to the data center proxy. The non-computer room proxy is the non-computer room IP, which is what we often call the residential proxy IP. It is divided into dynamic and static residential proxies.
Static residential proxies are also called ISP proxies (ISP proxy), and ISP proxies are divided into single ISP proxies and dual ISP proxies.

2. The difference between ISP proxy/dual ISP proxy/data center proxy
1. ISP proxy
Exclusive ISP residential proxies are active IP addresses assigned from ISPs around the world, allowing users to use the same residential IP for as long as needed.
Features: Exclusive static residential proxy is very fast and highly reliable, can simulate real user operations, suitable for users who require a stable network environment
2. Dual ISP Proxy
Dual ISP means using two different ISPs (Internet Service Providers) to improve the stability and security of network connections. This is reflected in the fact that both the ANS and cpmpany types of the proxy are ISP, while the ANS of a single ISP proxy is generally ISP, but the company is not.
Features: Suitable for users who have higher requirements for network information security, and better in processing sensitive information and protecting user privacy.

3. Data center proxy IP
The proxy source of the data center is a third-party network operator organization that provides proxy IP, which is the most common type of proxy resource. The type tested by the data center is hosting
Features: It is highly anonymous, has richer resources, and is more cost-effective. Kookeey provides static exclusive proxy resources

3. How to choose
Testing is the first priority
All business websites recommend that you test each type of proxy and choose the one that suits you.
1. You need to look at the risk control level of the website. For those with high security and authenticity, you are more inclined to choose residential agents
2. For those with relatively low security authenticity and large demand, it is generally recommended to choose a computer room agent for higher cost performance.
3. If the website has a very high risk control level, or is prone to being blocked in the later stages of operation, it is recommended to choose a relatively niche supplier or a more expensive residential agent. The reason here is that the fewer people use the agent, the safer it is.
