1. What is a proxy IP?
Proxy IP is also called Proxy Server. It is an important security function that can act as a firewall.
Figuratively speaking, a proxy server is a transfer station for network information. It is a server between the browser and the Web server. With it, the request signal will be sent to the proxy server first, and the proxy server will retrieve the information needed by the browser and send it to your browser. In daily life, we use IP proxies, mostly to connect to the INTERNET (internet) and INTRANET (local area network).
2. Functions of IP Proxy
1. Solve network delays and improve operating speed. As a proxy server, it has the function of storage memory. When external information passes through, or the previously requested information is updated, it will be automatically saved in the buffer. When the user accesses the same information again, the buffer can directly take out the information and pass it to the user to improve the access speed.
2. It can be used as a firewall to improve security. Through the proxy server, users can set up IP address filtering to limit the access rights of the internal network to the external network. It can also block IP addresses and prohibit users from accessing certain networks, thus playing the role of a firewall.
3. Hide IP address and protect personal information. Proxy types are roughly divided into three categories. Transparent proxy, common proxy, and transparent proxy. Highly anonymous proxy can hide the user's real IP address and will not be identified as a proxy. Common proxy can hide the user's real IP, but will change the request information so that the other server can recognize that we use a dynamic IP proxy. When using a transparent proxy, the real IP address is still transmitted, and the client does not know the existence of the proxy server at all.
4. Break through the access address restrictions. Many websites will restrict access to users and read the user's IP address through the IP address. Because there is more than one third-party proxy server, users can break through the restrictions by switching the required regional IP.
